North Mason Regional Fire Authority
“We Safeguard North Mason Communities”
The North Mason Regional Fire Authority began operation on January 1, 2014 following the combination of resources of Mason County Fire Districts 2 and 8. Mason County Fire District 2 was originally known as the Belfair Volunteer Fire Department upon its inception in 1946. The citizens of Belfair recognized the need to provide fire and emergency protection for their neighbors. The North Mason Regional Fire Authority is proud to carry on the tradition in both Fire Districts of “neighbors helping neighbors”. The North Mason Regional Fire Authority is proud to serve over twenty-two individual and unique neighborhood communities within the Fire Authority. The Fire Authority provides around the clock firefighter staffing at our Collins Lake Station located on Collins Lake Dr. and at the Belfair Station located on Old Belfair Highway. Our station located in Tahuya on NE North Shore Rd is staffed during the day, seven days a week.
The North Mason Regional Fire Authority serves the community with 24 hour emergency response personnel. The outstanding members of the Fire Authority are comprised of volunteer and professional firefighters, emergency medical technicians (EMT), paramedics, and Community Response Teams (CRT). Essentially, the men and women of the North Mason Regional Fire Authority are your “neighbors”. We safeguard North Mason Communities.
