PRESS RELEASE

September 16
Due to improving atmospheric conditions, the Dept. of Natural Resources has rescinded its burn ban. In accordance with Mason County’s Burn Policy to be consistent with burn restrictions throughout the rest of the County, effective immediately the Fire Marshal’s Office has lifted the ban on recreational fires for County lands not under DNR jurisdiction. Please note land clearing and residential burning (the burning of yard clippings, leaves, branches, etc.) will remain prohibited until the fire danger rating drops to low.
